Measurements:

We strive to provide the most accurate measurements possible for every piece.

Where applicable, we include measurements for the bust, waist, hips, garment length, shoulder width, and sleeve length. All measurements are taken with the garment laid flat. Please allow for a small margin of error depending on the fabric, stretch, and construction of the piece.

We also include the original tag size when available. However, we strongly recommend relying on the listed measurements rather than the tag size when determining fit.

Vintage Sizing:

Vintage designer sizing differs significantly from modern sizing and often runs smaller than contemporary standards. For this reason, tag size should be used as a reference only.

To ensure the best fit, we always recommend comparing the listed measurements to a garment you already own and love the fit of.

Alterations & Tailoring:

Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of vintage, not every garment you love will be a perfect fit immediately. Tailoring is often part of the vintage buying process, especially for rare pieces and occasionwear.

Many clients choose to work with a trusted tailor to adjust a garment to their body and preferred fit. This can help a special piece feel more comfortable, flattering, and truly your own.
