Dior by John Galliano FW1999 Fur Trimmed Needlepoint Jacket & Dress Set

It is exceptionally rare to find this Galliano-era Dior set with both the fox-trimmed jacket and matching dress together! This set is constructed in a needlepoint fabric rendered in a soft cream base with multicolor floral motifs, creating a richly textured, tapestry-like surface. 
The jacket's defining feature is a voluminous fox fur trim in deep chocolate brown that forms a sweeping C-shaped line along the collar and front opening. The fur wraps fluidly around the torso, visible from all angles, adding dimension and opulence. Despite the dramatic volume of the fur, the jacket maintains a sharply cinched, feminine silhouette. A nipped-in waist and curved seam lines contour the body, creating a slim, elongated appearance that contrasts beautifully with the fullness of the fur.
The dress is crafted in silk damask, distinguished by its richly textured surface created through the weave. Its subtle three-dimensional texture is overlaid with the same needlepoint floral motif arranged in a structured, lattice-like composition.
